Transporter

The Transporter is responsible for transporting patients from one location to another in a timely and safe manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

​

• Transport patients from one destination to another timely and safely

• Transport mail and medication to designated offices as directed

• Flexibility to incorporate emergency appointments into schedule as needed

• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work practices, and instructions

• Obeys all IL/IA driving laws

• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:​

​

• Minimum one year experience driving in a similar capacity

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Must have ability to be insured through Eagle View Community Health System's insurance/liability carrier

• Driving record must not possess more than two (2) points within the last two years

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters at all times

• Ability to appropriately utilize maps and/or GPS system

• Ability to drive safely

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to follow direction and make decisions appropriately when needed

• Ability to represent Eagle View effectively and professionally in a variety of settings and with diverse communities; demonstrates understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures

• Routine testing/training on various job-related skills and competencies

• Ability to drive an Eagle View vehicle throughout Henderson, Warren, Mercer, McDonough and Des Moines Counties

• Must maintain Basic Life Support Certification (courses offered through Eagle View)
